Danny Wynn on Writing, Movies & People #Fiction #Adventure #BookClub

What do you hope people will take away from your writing? How will your words make them feel?
I hope they feel life in my work, are moved by my work, and that my work stays with them awhile.
What color represents your personality the most?
Grey-blue and dark blue, with a slash of dark red.
What movie do you love to watch?
Performance, Withnail And I, Bad Timing, and McCabe And Mrs. Miller. 44. How do you feel about social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter? Are they a good thing? I feel out of sync with the times, left behind.
If you could do any job in the world what would you do?
It’s good to be King.
Are you a city slicker or a country lover?
I love cities.
How do you think people perceive writers?
I think most people are correctly daunted by the notion of writing a book, and thus are impressed by people who do it and get some affirmation.
What’s the reason for your life? Have you figured out your reason for being here yet?
To enjoy life as much as possible, keeping in mind that the maximum enjoyment does not come from always going for immediate and intense pleasures. You have to realize that there are many kinds of enjoyment. But if on an overall basis, you’ve enjoyed life, then you’ve served your purpose, I think.
How important are friends in your life?
Crucial, absolutely essential. Could not make it without them. My next book is about friendship.
What does love mean to you?
That’s way too big a question to answer in this context.
What social issues interest you the most?
Gun control, freedom of choice.
manFromTheSky
How far would you go to add excitement to a life you felt was boring and meaningless?
For seventy-three-year-old Jaime, the answer takes him by surprise. Accustomed to a lonely life high up in the mountains on the western coast of Mallorca, his dull routine is suddenly shattered when a man parachutes from a plane and lands nearby. The plane crashes; the man lives.
It’s a drug smuggling operation gone bad. But Stefan, the man from the sky, has escaped with eight kilos of cocaine in a gym bag. Jaime brings Stefan home and is soon entangled in Stefan’s attempts to sell the cocaine and start a new life.
As they dodge Parisian drug dealers and corrupt Mallorcan police, Jaime’s search for excitement and Stefan’s resolve to find stability lead them both down dangerous paths.

#Excerpt from The Sovereign Order of Monte Cristo by Holy Ghost Writer #SherlockHolmes #BookWorm

After reuniting with Haydee and Mercedes, as well as meeting his two new daughters, Jana, by Haydee, and Lextra, by Mercedes, Dantes has never been happier. The house takes on a joyful air. Dantes spends weeks playing with his babies and making love to his wives, who are overjoyed at his return.
“I am so blessed,” he thinks as he strokes Lextra’s fine hair. “And so torn by what is now my duty. I want to remain with my family, but I must do the bidding of Mother Wisdom. It is for the children that I must go to America and find a plantation.” He has already sent scouts to look around and will soon follow, once he receives word that they have found a suitable plantation. In the meantime, though, he vows to focus on his daughters and his wives.
Jana is the outgoing daughter. She has a captivating smile like her mother and dark hair. Lextra is more fair-skinned with light hair and seems to babble constantly. Dantes spends as much time with them as possible, playing on a huge blanket in the garden. Haydee and Mercedes are never far away, talking and sewing their brightly colored hemp-fabrics as decoration for the nurseries. They know their husband will be leaving soon, and both of them have asked to go with him; they cannot bear another long separation.
Holy Ghost Writer
The Sovereign Order of Monte Cristo is a continuation of The Count of Monte Cristo (Book I), related through the voice of Sherlock Holmes and The Sultan of Monte Cristo (Book II). It includes exhilarating new adventures, characters, and ideas, carrying the reader past book I and II and into book III of an ever-expanding new series based on the classic.
Those who have already had the pleasure of reading The Sultan of Monte Cristo will certainly appreciate the unique way in which the Holy Ghost Writer has expanded the original story without the help of anyone (except perhaps from the ghosts of Dumas and Doyle).
In addition to comprising a 3rd sequel to The Count of Monte Cristo, The Sovereign Order of Monte Cristo serves as a prequel to The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
