Review: Sex and Death in the American Novel by Sarah Martinez

Sex and Death in the American NovelSex and Death in the American Novel by Sarah Martinez
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What are the most important relationships in the book? Acceptance for who we are. Even acceptance from our parents on what we choose for our lives.

What is stronger in the book: plot or character development? Character development – do not think this would be such a wonderful read if the plot was stronger than characters. No, the plot was not weak, but this could not be a plot driven story.

Have you ever experienced anything similar to the action of this novel? Only thing I have experienced similar is the depression Tristian suffered. Lost a great friend to this misunderstood disease.

Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author.
