How often do you write? And when do you write? I try to write every day for at least 30 minutes and I write wherever I can.
Are you a city slicker or a country lover? Suburban dweller, I prefer living close to a city, yet enjoying a bit of a yard and privacy.
What’s your next project? The next two books in The Colors Trilogy, The Colors of Love and True Colors, publish November 19, 2013 and March 25, 2014 respectively. Plus, my boys are making me write a trilogy now, just for them (YA SciFi).
How do you feel about self-publishing? If you decide to take the self-publishing route, do your homework first. Decide who you’ll use to print, distribute, and help market your work based on services, royalties, reputation, etc. Budget for editing, cover design, and marketing. The biggest complaint against most self-publishers is that they distribute unprofessional, error-prone material. Make sure your work looks as professional as traditionally published books and stands out with great story-telling.
Do you know your neighbors? Yes, I know almost everyone in our neighborhood and they’re all very cool! Some were actually my first beta readers.
