Do you have any pets?
I have a 13 year old cocker spaniel. He’s a sweetheart. I’ve had Luke since he was 5 1/2 weeks old. He has quite the personality and is a huge cuddle-bug.
Do you have children?
I have two adult children. My daughter is 34 and my son is 28. I also have two amazing grandsons.
Have your books won any awards?
LETHAL JOURNEY was a finalist in From the Heart Romance Writers (FTHRW) Golden Gate Contest (2003). REFLECTION, my debut romantic thriller has won numerous awards: Indie Book of the Day Award (November 26, 2013), UP Authors Fiction Challenge Winner (2013), Silicon Valley’s Romance Writers of America (RWA) “Gotcha!” Romantic Suspense Winner (2004) and an Honourable Mention in Calgary’s (RWA) The Writer’s Voice Contest (2006).
Why do you think what you do matters?
Being an author does matter. I’m a huge supporter of freedom of speech. I also try to use some type of controversial topic in all my books. Human cloning (REFLECTION) is one of them and has caused lots of debate over the years. It gets people talking.
What book would you recommend that everyone should read?
Waiting Wives: The Story of Schilling Manor, Home Front to the Vietnam War by Donna Moreau. “In 1964, as the first B-52s took flight in what would become America’s longest combat mission, an old Air Force base on the plains of Kansas became Schilling Manor — the only base ever to be set aside for the wives and children of soldiers assigned to Vietnam.” An incredible story about strength and love!
