Author Interview – Merry Farmer @merryfarmer20

Sometimes it’s so hard to keep at it – What keeps you going?  Simply the fact that I love writing so much I couldn’t imagine not writing.  It’s in my blood and my soul.  Yes, it gets hard sometimes, but the joy of the story is what pulls me through.

What do you hope people will take away from your writing? How will your words make them feel?  I really hope that people will be entertained by my books, that they will be carried away into a fun story that has them turning pages.  But as my writing matures, I’m also finding myself thinking a lot about how I can hit on common emotions, thinks that we have all experienced but may be having a hard time with, like bullying, loss, and starting a new life.

What’s your favorite meal?  I’m a big fan of healthy foods these days.  My favorite meal that I cook for myself is salmon with pesto, Brussels sprouts sautéed in olive oil with turmeric, and butternut squash ravioli.  Yum!

What color represents your personality the most?  Red.  It’s bright, fun, and has a lot of connotations. *wiggles eyebrows*

What movie do you love to watch?  I’m a big fan of Bollywood movies, actually.  I have a Christmas tradition of watching the Bollywood movie Devdas every Christmas.  It’s very possibly the most beautiful and most depressing movie I’ve ever seen, so of course it’s a natural for Christmas Day.
